We started with a simple observation: the people pricing, placing and financing aircraft were doing it with less real-time market data than a retail equities trader — scattered PDFs, one-off spreadsheets, and news that arrived too late to act on.

The name is a small piece of wordplay: Treo is Gaelic for "direction" — put it after Wright and it reads as "the right direction," which is as much the idea behind the company as the name.
